small HSR · About small

HSR Layout, kept by the people who know it.

small is HSR Layout's shared contribution layer. People contribute what they know or can do; the neighbourhood turns those contributions into trusted connections, opportunities, and local work. You teach it. Someone here asks it later.

What small is

small is a person-to-person enabler for HSR Layout. It helps the right people find each other and do something together — whether that is choosing a local business, organising a meetup, finding a place to hang out, asking for help, or discovering someone with a useful skill.

HSR already has the people, places and possibilities. Someone knows a good café for a conversation, a reliable person for a job, a venue for a gathering, or a group that would welcome one more person. small gives those connections a shared home so they do not disappear into private chats or word of mouth.

If you live here, work here, or run something here, you can help make those connections easier. You share what you know, and someone else in HSR can find it when they need it.

How does this work

There are two things you do with small. You teach it, or you ask it. Teaching itself has two parts: about you, and about HSR.

1

You teach small

You write in your own words. There is no form to fill. You either say what HSR can come to you for, or you share something useful about the neighbourhood. If a name or a place is missing, small asks you for that one thing.

2

Someone in small reviews it

What you write is read before it becomes something the neighbourhood can see. An introduction about you stays private until that review is done. You choose what to share, and you can add more later.

3

Someone asks

A neighbour asks in ordinary words. small answers from what people in HSR have taught it and what has been accepted. You are hearing this neighbourhood. If small has not been taught the answer, it says so.

4

What HSR keeps is credited

When something you taught is accepted, you earn LOVE: small’s record that the neighbourhood kept a useful contribution.

The two ways to teach small

Both are part of the same neighbourhood record. They answer different questions.

About you

What can HSR come to you for?

Write about yourself. A skill, a favour, something you make, a way you already help people around you. This is how neighbours find a person, not a listing.

About HSR

What should HSR know?

Share something useful about the place. A shop, a timing, a park, a habit of the neighbourhood, a thing a newcomer or a neighbour would be glad to hear. Your words stay yours. Someone else can add their own account of the same place.

Asking small

Ask small when you want what locals know about HSR. The answer comes from people who taught it, after review. A recommendation stays a recommendation. Two neighbours can see the same street differently, and small can hold both.

If you run a business here and want to take on work the neighbourhood needs — festive services, a venue, housing, and the rest — see For local businesses.
